Tori Spelling’s Mom isn’t some L.A. post-punk band — although that is a terrific name for one. No, I’m referring to the actual Tori Spelling — “Donna” on Beverly Hills 90210. Her dad is famous Hollywood producer Aaron Spelling and her mom Candy is a Hollywood socialite.
Years ago I saw an MTV Cribs episode on the Spelling mansion. One of the main things that struck me — beyond the 55,000 square feet of palatial mansion (not a typo, yes 55k feet!!) — is that Mrs. Spelling had a huge Gift room. A massive room dedicated to gifts, gift wrap, stationary, packaging, and accessories.
Unsurprisingly, we tend to give a lot of gifts at PBJ Merch Co.. To help us gift and prospect clients I have always wanted a Mrs. Spelling- type room. It’s hard to make time to sit down and prepare gifts if you have to search and scrounge for every component.
In your company, what does your gifting room look like? I hear you laughing already! OK, at the very least, where your company swag stored? I bet the custom merch is shoved into some H.R. or marketing department cupboard. Why not merchandise the swag area retail-like in the lobby so team members understand: this merch is valuable and meant for you to enjoy (and give away!).
With contributions from our whole team the Pat Brands gift room and swag emporium is ready. All our current self-promo stuff is on the shelves. Packaging, note cards and more ready too.
