The K-Way is back! Where my Duran-ies at?

by Jen Haralson

The K-Way jacket was created on a rainy day in Paris, 1965 by Leon-Claude Duhamel who observed people rushing around in the rain trying to protect their clothing using everything from a newspaper to plastic bags.  Voila!  A lightweight & completely waterproof jacket which can be folded into a small hip pouch was born!  This practical jacket is  convenient & functional – which is what we need when the raindrops start to fall, as they often do in our beautiful city of Vancouver!

The K-Way was super hot in the 1980s and now these famous windbreakers are back with all the style & function to keep you cool and dry. Many of the styles available now still fold into the small, elastic belted hip bag. The classic, simple zip up or kangaroo pouch windbreakers are continually available, however they have added more stylish & modern styles.

This nylon women’s trench coat, sophisticatedly named ‘Marilyn’,  is a stylish & fashionable piece proving that K-Way is more than windbreakers!kwaymarilyntrench

Children’s styles are also available & are really fun clothing items to own.  (I personally recall my blue ‘80s K-Way jacket & how fun it was to fold it up & strap it to your waist and play on!)  If you are looking for an item for a camp or kid’s even, this could be an exciting item to brand. We can screenprint, embroider or heat transfer your logo.

These are great quality jackets at a sensible price points, which would be great items for outdoor events such as a golf tournament, outdoor concerts, or to give away purely as a tried & true classic item.
