I’m proud to introduce our new name – PBJ Merch Co. – to go with our corporate gifts & apparel company’s new 2500 square foot space on the edge of the False Creek Olympic Village. PBJ Merch Co. is founded by partners me (formerly PBJ Merch Co. & Rewards) and and Crockett (formerly SunLinks Brands).
PBJ Merch Co. is the result after my partners and I decided to build on our Olympic success by joining forces and moving into a larger and better-equipped space. The name PBJ Merch Co. evokes our vast and beautiful province and the large opportunities it presents. We mean Brands as a noun (we sell brands) but most importantly as a verb: we help to brand companies. A big thanks to deBruyn Design for the collaboration on name & brand design.
Seven years ago I heard politicians speak about the Olympic Legacies – athletics, facilities and business legacies – that would be left in this province. I’m so happy my small business is a part of it. In the months and days leading up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games myself and the Crocketts served the International Olympic Committee, Canadian Olympic Committee, ICBC, Coke, General Motors, Canwest, Vincor and other unofficial Olympic partners such as Sportsmark. Our companies provided corporate gifts, uniforms, apparel and other “swag” as required by these Olympic partners to execute our participation at the Games.
In early March 2010, we were considering the right next step to take with our respective companies. We decided to build upon the momentum of the 2010 Olympics. And we decided we could grow more effectively as one medium sized business instead of two small businesses.
The open-concept 2,500 square foot office is divided up between contemporary showroom space, desk area for six staff and a warehouse/pick/pack area. PBJ Merch Co. supplies the best designed corporate gifts, apparel and uniforms with unprecedented levels of personal service. We operate online e-stores on behalf of our corporate clients and are experts in licensed merchandise such as Olympic, NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL licenses.
A very special guest will cut the ribbon cutting to launch our new offices, on Wednesday, May 12th at 5:00 p.m. at PBJ Merch Co. at 1750 Columbia Street in Vancouver. Please mark this date in your calendars, an official invite will be circulated soon.
